I'm Jackie Zorovich, founder of Sound Approach Learning. I provide one-on-one structured literacy instruction — what reading experts recommend for learners with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. 

I design lessons using the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach, which is structured, multisensory, diagnostic, and individualized to meet each student where they are. Having completed my OG training, I'm now working through my practicum to earn my Associate-level certification. 

Prior to tutoring, I applied my Cornell engineering degree to tackle environmental cleanup and sustainability projects for several years. I bring that same analytical mindset to tutoring: pinpointing where a student is struggling and focusing instruction exactly there.

I came to this work because students often struggle with reading for far too long, simply because they need a different approach. With the right support, struggling readers can and do flourish. Literacy is the foundation for confidence and independence. Every lesson I prepare is designed to help my student succeed.
